Brown Rice Sushi


Our latest craze that makes for really fun lunches - homemade Brown Rice sushi!


Lunch + handicraft + fun all rolled into one!
The best thing is, the kids love to eat what they have made, so the food disappears really quickly!

 

We used the leftover seaweed to cut out an underwater landscape. There's an octopus, shark, cuttlefish, whale, and seaweed!

Ingredients

  • Short grain brown rice + brown rice vinegar, brown sugar molasses, salt
  • Cucumber, pear, avocado, smoked salmon
  • Nori seaweed
  • Japanese mayonnaise
  • Sesame seeds (to make rice balls and maki)
  • Endless creativity!
